Day Twentythree of Gulf War II
Frightening statistics... Numbers and Estimates from Iraq War! And by the way, for my German friend who was telling me before the war began that the US sent young black men to die in Vietnam (not true, the percentages reflected the population percentages in the US), I invite you to look at these dead soldiers' faces again and count. Irregardless of the skin color, these are men who gave their all for the freedom they believe in and who paid by never seeing their wife or children again or never even getting the chance to get married and have children and grandchildren. Tomorrow, I will be on my way home from Germany - it has been a long week, but I have had many very good discussions about Jesus and faith with some old friends. How much I pray for me to see them around the Throne one day! "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." 1 Peter 2:24 In Christ's love, Elke
