Day Thirteen of Gulf War II
Did you ever wonder what happened to the "United We Stand" that we all so proudly displayed after September 11th?
I was pondering how much that has changed...the preponderance of patriotically flagged cars and chest pins is gone.
Are we more or less patriotic as a nation now than after 9/11? Are we divided patriots - some of us patriotically supporting the troops, others patriotically demanding peace and the return of our soldiers?
It certainly gave me pause today to think about patriotism and its changing face in the United States of America.
Last time I checked, at least we were still "One Nation Under God".
